What is the PBJ Ministry?
A community/family/church based program to deliver sandwich sack meals to homeless people and to provide companionship to those that cannot get out or do not have access to our resources.
Teaching the lessons Jesus taught and putting them into practice. What better way to teach younger generations what Jesus commanded us to do. Proverbs 22:6, says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it"
Gathering Together: We bring people together from all walks of life—volunteers, church members, and community partners—to form a team dedicated to service. This communal effort is a testament to the body of Christ working together to fulfill the Great Commission.
Preparing Wholesome Meals: We prepare wholesome sack meals with care. Each bag includes a variety of items such as a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich (made with both nut and nut-free butters to ensure safety), a bag of chips, a nutritious snack bar, and a sweet treat like a cookie.
Providing Dignity and Essentials: Each sack is more than just a meal; it's a gift of dignity and hope. We include essential toiletries and other necessities, as well as a small, meaningful Christian gift when possible, such as a pocket-sized cross or a scripture card.
The Personal Message of Worth: A key part of our ministry is the personal connection. Every bag contains a handwritten note that shares the Gospel message of Christ's salvation and a heartfelt reminder that as God's creation, every single person is valued, seen, and worthy of love.
Compassionate Distribution: Finally, our teams hit the streets to compassionately deliver the meals directly to our homeless neighbors. We take this opportunity not only to feed them but also to offer a word of prayer, a listening ear, and the unwavering message that they are not forgotten.

The Peanut Butter & Jelly Ministry (PBJ Ministry) is the hands and feet of Jesus in our community, a compassionate outreach dedicated to meeting the physical and spiritual needs of our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Born from the heart of Powered By Jesus Church, our program revolves around the simple, yet profound, act of assembling and distributing sack meals—each one a symbol of God's love. We believe that salvation comes through Christ, and we demonstrate that belief through tangible acts of service, offering a moment of connection, a word of encouragement, and a powerful demonstration of His love to those who need it most.
